ARE YOU ONLY
A GIVE ME GIVE ME CHRISTIAN?
Isaiah 6:8 –
Also I heard the voice of the Lord,
saying, whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send
me.
As a child of God, you must be
convinced of whom you are and what God has called you to be.
The purpose of Ministry goes beyond
just gathering people in a place called church. Ministry is instituted by God
to train and equip Christians who will be radical for the sake of the gospel of
our Lord Jesus Christ (For a better
understanding of this, read Matthew 9:37 & 38).
The Ministry of every minister called
by God is clearly defined with a mandate. This is exemplified in scripture with
the life and ministry of Apostle Paul(You
can find this account in Acts 13:45 – 49). Therefore, every Minister does
not appeal to the same audience. It is however possible for an audience to benefit
from the anointing on the life of a man of God but won’t be able to stay under
his leadership.
It is therefore imperative for you as
a child of God to understand the difference between Ministry and Church. Church
is a place or gathering of believers for the purpose of worship and equipping
the saints but Ministry is the call and the impact you have as an individual or
an institution on the body of Christ and beyond. However, the sad reality today
in the body of Christ is that, due to poor spiritual instruction and guidance,
many believers are unable to decipher between a Ministry and Church.
Dear reader, the gathering of believers
in ‘church’ is not an end in itself but a step in a journey. Every believer has
a ministry and this is the purpose of Ministers and Ministry.
Ephesians
4:11 – 16
is the higher objective in the gathering of the saints.
