Dear reader, I
want to ask a thought provoking question today.
If
God is Alpha and Omega and all knowing, why did he ask Cain for Abel his
brother? Take some time to ponder on this.
It
is very insightful to discover from the way Cain responded to Gods question and
the dialogue that ensued, that God still fellowshipped with Adam and his family
after He banished them from the Garden of Eden (You can find this when you study Genesis chapter 4 & 5).
As a child of God, there is a
‘blessing’ that God has unveiled in your spirit. Anyone who works in the
blessing can live his life without struggling.
You must understand this truth
because being ‘born again’ will not make you ‘pente’, Anglican or evangelical’.
When you become born again, you
become a life giving spirit.
Even though God made Adam in His
image and likeness, he wasn’t God! Adam was flesh and blood. However, when God gave
His son Jesus to die and redeem man from sin, to everyone that received and
confessed Him as Lord and Savior became born again. He made us life giving
spirits and as He is right now so are we in this world (Cross-reference 1 Corinthians 15:45 and 1 John 4:17).
I also want to address an issue that
has caused division in the body of Christ today. It is that of “The Trinity”.
I want you to know today that there
was nobody known by the name of Jesus in Heaven until Matthew chapter 1. There is only one throne in Heaven, and Jesus Christ
is sitting on it.
Child of God, the part of God that
moves is called the Holy Spirit, the God that talks is called Jesus, and the
Father is the one ‘Who Is’. The Holy Spirit has no name of His own because He
responds to the name of Jesus.
Also know this; you are God in your spirit
because you are born of God. Only God can give birth to another God; the same
way a dog can only give birth to a dog and not a cat.
This is why you must be addicted to
the Spirit of God and as with every other thing; there are two sides of the
coin when you study the concept of addictions; good and bad.
I admonish you to tailor your life
according to Ephesians 5:18.
Be drunk with the Holy Spirit, where
your lack of restraint is your liberty from the flesh!
Make no mistake about this, any
addiction is bad when it comes to the flesh i.e. food, appearance, shoes, etc. Anything
in the flesh can addict you. Therefore, be like David whose addiction was to
worship, Daniel was addicted to prayer and this led to his arrest, Paul’s addiction
was preaching the Gospel which was why he said, ‘woe unto me if I preach not the
Gospel’.
What’s your addiction? Can you make
the things of the Spirit your addiction, can you make worship, meditating on the
word, studying the word, speaking the word your addiction?
It shall make you prosperous! (Read Joshua 1:8 to understand this
better).
When you are addicted to the things
of the Spirit you will do the right things. Even if you do or say the wrong
things it will become right, because you are the righteousness of God, and with
God there is no wrong; everything is right.
Get addicted to the Spirit realm
because in that realm, all things are possible!
